Open Positions

Marketing Assistant/Intern

Part-time | 10–15 hours per week  |  St. Augustine, FL

Are you a creative, motivated self-starter with a passion for content, community, and storytelling? This is your opportunity to gain real-world marketing experience while making a meaningful impact in a fun, purpose-driven environment. As our Marketing Intern, you’ll work directly alongside the Director to help grow the Free Your Mind brand and support our nonprofit partner,              the Jam-ology Foundation.

In this role, you’ll assist with content creation and publishing across various platforms including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and LinkedIn, all while learning to maximize exposure and increase brand awareness within a defined advertising budget. You’ll attend community networking events with the Director to help build meaningful relationships that support our mission and grow our presence.

The Marketing Intern will also be responsible for developing a consistent, professional online presence and conducting necessary research to identify and apply for grants for Jam-ology Foundation, a Florida-based nonprofit charitable organization. Additionally, you will assist in coordinating fundraising events and community donation drives, reaching out to local businesses for sponsorships and tax-deductible donations, and helping recruit individuals and organizations to support our cause.

This position is ideal for a college student or recent graduate in marketing, communications, or nonprofit management who is excited to grow personally and professionally in a supportive, creative studio environment that values initiative, innovation, and community impact.

Teaching Assistant

Part-time | 20–25 hours per week  |  St. Augustine, FL

Do you love working with children and want to be part of something truly special this summer? Free Your Mind is seeking a dependable, upbeat, and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to support our Summer Art Camp 2025. This isn’t your average assistant role — you’ll be hands-on helping kids bring their creative visions to life through painting, woodworking, clay, mixed media, and even safe power tool use. Every day is filled with fun, learning, and imagination.

The Teaching Assistant will work closely with the Director to guide children through their projects, providing encouragement and support as they develop hand-eye coordination, fine motor skills, and most importantly, confidence. You’ll help foster creativity by showing kids how to think outside the box and use limited materials to build incredible hands-on projects, like repurposing scrap wood and old metal parts into functional art such as table lamps.

We don’t expect you to come with prior experience in all areas — we’re happy to train the right person, especially in safe power tool use including drills, circular saws, and jigsaws. Bonus if you already feel comfortable with tools, but if not, no worries — learning is part of the journey here. What matters most is a positive attitude, patience, and a genuine love for working with children. This is a one-of-a-kind opportunity to be part of a creative, supportive environment where you’ll grow while helping others do the same.
